Rubén Aguilera (born September 21, 1996) is a Paraguayan film director known for his short film Aramboty (2020), winner of a special mention from the jury at the El Parque Paraguayo Film Festival in Misiones, Argentina. He was born in Villa Elisa, Paraguay. He studied film direction at the Columbia University of Paraguay, where he obtained a degree as a filmmaker. Aramboty was his final work for the degree, with he obtained the highest grade summa cum laude. Also in 2024 he completed a master's degree in advertising and public relations at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), in the city of Moscow, Russia.
